About me

Currently I am working as a PhD student at Human Centered Artificial Intelligence group at TU München under the supervision of Alexandra Kirsch and Michael Beetz.

After finishing my Diploma in Informations Technology at the University of Ulm I started my PhD at October 2010.

For my Diploma Thesis i was working on GraphSLAM for buildings with several floors at the Autonomous Intelligent Systems Lab of Prof. Wolfram Burgard at the University of Freiburg.

Research Topics

  • plan based bontrol
  • knowledge based failure detection and recovery
  • human robot interaction
  • human inspired robot behavior

Current Projects

I am actively involved in the development of the Blender based Open-Source Robot-Simulator MORSE and was one of the organizers of the MORSE workshop at the euRobotics-Forum in Vasteras / Sweden: http://www.openrobots.org/wiki/morse/events/erf_2011

Also one student of mine is working on an intuitive control interface for a human agent in our simulation.

Furthermore i have been involved in establishing partial Python 3 compatibility of the core libraries of the ROS Electriy Emys release.

Here are some videos of our work on the MORSE simulator:
